A tear-resistant and flexible leash with a padded strap with a firm Velcro closure, so that nothing separates the surfer from his board.
The length of the leash depends on the length of the board.
The leash should be a maximum of 5-6 inches longer or shorter than the board:
6 foot leash = 5.6 - 6.6 foot board length
7 feet leash = 6.6 - 7.6 feet board length
8 feet leash = 7.6 - 8.6 feet board length
9 foot leash = 8.6 - 9.6 foot board length
10 feet leash = 9.6 - 10.6 feet board length
